D’oscail Coláiste Dhún Másc i mí Lúnasa 2017 i bhfoirgneamh sealadach ar Shráid na hIarnróide, Port Laoise. Táimid ag súil go mór lenár n-aistriú go foirgneamh nua do 1000 dalta ar shuíomh glas de 18 acra ar Bhóthar Tigh Mochua i bPort Laoise.

Pobal a chruthú ina mbraitheann gach ball go bhfuil meas agus luach orthu. Mar scoil acadúil agus uaillmhianach, cuirtear dúshlán roimh na daltaí i bhfad níos leithne ná aon churaclam scrúduithe amháin. Trí fhiosracht intleachtúil a chothú, cumasaítear do dhaltaí ní hamháin barr feabhais a bhaint amach i scrúduithe agus a gcuid spriocanna oideachais a bhaint amach, ach grá buan don fhoghlaim a fhorbairt freisin. Trínár raon eisceachtúil gníomhaíochtaí comhchuraclaim agus seach-churaclaim, mar aon le deiseanna comhpháirtíochta leis an bpobal, forbraíonn daltaí carachtar, neamhspleáchas, cruthaitheacht agus an cumas cumarsáide agus spreagtha.

Déanann ár scoil iarracht gach dalta a chur ar comhchéim lena chéile agus deiseanna cothroma a thabhairt dóibh le páirt a ghlacadh sa churaclam agus i saol na scoile. I ngach gné de shaol na scoile, déantar gach ball den phobal scoile a chóireáil go cothrom beag beann ar a rás, inscne, creideamh/córas creidimh, aois, stádas teaghlaigh, stádas sibhialta, ballraíocht den phobal Lucht Siúil, claonadh gnéasach, cumas nó stádas sóch-eacnamaíoch.
Cuireann ár scoil timpeallacht shábháilte fhisiciúil agus shóisialta ar fáil a neartaíonn mothú muintearais don phobal scoile agus don tsochaí níos leithne. Déanaimid ár ndícheall gach dalta a chumhachtú chun a lánchumas a bhaint amach beag beann ar ghné ar bith dá bhféiniúlacht nó a gcúlra. Cuireann ár scoil oideachas lánchuimsitheach chun cinn a aithníonn an éagsúlacht féiniúlachtaí, creidimh agus luachanna atá ag daltaí, tuismitheoirí agus foireann. Ullmhaímid saoránaigh oscailte, íogaire ó thaobh cultúir agus freagracha, a bhfuil tuiscint láidir acu ar luachanna comhroinnte.
I scoileanna ETB, déantar daltaí de gach creideamh agus córas creidimh a chóireáil go cothrom. Ní thugtar aon phribhléid do ghrúpa ar leith thar ghrúpa eile i dtimpeallacht agus i ngníomhaíochtaí na scoile, agus ag an am céanna, aithnítear agus cuirtear ar fáil áiseanna do dhaltaí de gach creideamh agus córas creidimh.
Dunamase College/Coláiste Dhún Másc is a multidenominational, co-educational school, socially and culturally inclusive. It provides excellence in education using a wide range of teaching and learning strategies. We place a strong focus on student well-being and the need for respect for all members of the community and the environment which surrounds us.
Dunamase College/Coláiste Dhún Másc opened in August 2017 in a temporary home on Railway Street, Portlaoise. We are eagerly anticipating our move to a new 1000 pupil building on an 18 acre greenfield site on the Timahoe Road in Portlaoise.
